Footprints in the Sand at Kaena Point in Hawaii

Footprints fill the sand on the beach at Kaʻena Point on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi

Footprints fill the sand on the beach at Kaʻena Point on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.

If you are wondering, those footprints are ours from where we walked along the beach before I turned around to take this photo. It was a beautiful beach, as you can see here.

Yes, I have posted a similar photo in the past. But this one has more footprints, more sand, and a better view of the nearer mountains than that previous photo has.

And yes, this trip was almost two years ago now. But you might be surprised at how many photos I have not yet shared from it. Although if you know me and how many photos I take, you might not be surprised at all.

Laura on the Beach

Here is Laura on the beach as she leaves some of those footprints seen in the previous photo. Yes, I have posted a similar photo to this one, too, but again, this one is different. Because once again, I took lots.

You never can take too many photos on a trip like this one! If you go, make sure you have plenty of memory card space.

Getting to Go

Laura and I have talked lately about how we were blessed to be able to go on this trip. Or any trip, really.

We have the freedom to travel, and we have the health to be able to go. And we are thankful that we did not have to wait until late in life to be able to go on trips.

When we start to list all of the places that we have been, it gets to be a little embarrassing sometimes, because we have definitely been blessed.

But then small trips are just as much of a blessing, too. For example, on our recent visit to Florence, Alabama, we had a great time just being together and seeing what was there, along with being on the marriage retreat with our fellow church married couples. Trips do not have to be somewhere far away and exotic to be a blessing.

Enjoy getting to see things wherever you happen to be.

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. - Psalm 121:8 ESV

Blessings

About the Photos

I briefly considered converting the first photo to black and white, since I have been enjoying black and white photos recently. Very briefly. The colors are just too good for black and white here. So instead, I increased the color saturation even more, because that is how I am.
