Looking down the shore at Waikīkī Beach on the island of Oʻahu during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip, because you can never have enough beach photos.
Believe it or not, this photo was not used in part 9 of the trip report, although the trip report does have a photo looking down this same general direction at Waikīkī. And this photo has much different processing than those trip report photos, too.
The setting sun silhouettes the trees and evening beachgoers at Ko Olina Lagoons on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi, as seen during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip.
As I look back at this photo, it is slightly difficult to believe that our most recent Hawaiʻi trip was almost a year ago. Much has happened since that time, but the memories still seem fresh in my mind. Hopefully, those memories will not fade anytime soon.
The sun gives its last light of the day as it sets over the Pacific Ocean, as seen at Ko Olina Lagoons on the island of Oʻahu during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip.
As I have stated in the past, I took lots of sunset photos during our trip, and I have only shared a portion of them. So here is another entry into the Hawaiʻi sunset photos.
You can see from the photo that I was not the only one taking photos of this sunset.
A nighttime view of the Makaʻala, or main lobby area, of the Disney resort of Aulani on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi, from our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.
As you may recall if you read part 7 of the trip report, Laura and I had an evening excursion around Aulani to take some nighttime photos. I shared a couple of those photos, but I still have some that I have not shared previously, and this is one of them.
It looks like a near-perfect beach day at Haleʻiwa Beach Park on the North Shore of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi, as seen during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.
When you hear of North Shore beaches on Oʻahu, people are probably talking about beaches just a bit east of Haleʻiwa Beach Park. But this park was a nice place for us to visit, and we saw lots of sea turtles out in the water while we were there, too.
Happy birthday to my lovely wife Laura, seen here at the North Shore on the island of Oʻahu during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip.
Birthdays are always worth celebrating, especially for someone as special as Laura is to me. Here’s hoping this is the start of another wonderful trip around the sun!
Loving Laura is a wonderful example of loving one another. She does her best to love everyone unconditionally. She has shown that in her 27 years of teaching, in her work with our church, and in being a mother and wife.
The sun sets behind palm trees at Ko Olina Lagoons on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi, as seen during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.
It is another month, which means another Hawaiʻi sunset photo. Maybe I have not been posting one a month, but it feels like it.1 Maybe it will become a regular thing, or maybe not.
I have wondered before about sunsets looking better over water.2 I still believe that they do, even with our interesting sunsets here at home from time to time.
The sun sets over the Ko Olina Lagoons near the Disney resort of Aulani on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip.
When I was compiling photos for the trip report, I purposefully left out some of the sunset photos that I had taken. If you have already read the report, you know that there were lots of sunset photos in the report. But I took lots more photos than I could include in the report, so I thought it would be a good idea to share some of them from time to time, because the photos can definitely stand on their own.
Waves wash onto the shore at Kaʻena Point Beach on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.
If you have been following along on the posts from our trip, this photo may look familiar, because I posted a similar view several months ago. This view is not exactly the same as that previous one to begin with. And besides that, I like this one better. The processing makes the photo look clearer and brighter.
Looking down at the coastline of the island of Oʻahu from the top of Makapuʻu Point during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip.
Yes, if you are keeping score at home, I have posted another photo from this location in addition to the photos in Part 6 of the trip report. But to a guy who has spent most al of his life in flat, dry West Tennessee, I could never get enough of views like this one.
