Palm Trees in Panama

Palm trees reach for the sky near Panama Bay at Panama City, Panama, during our Panama 2024 trip.
Yes, there are a lot of Panamas in that previous sentence. And no, Panama does not pay me for every time I say Panama. But if they are interested in doing so, I am open to negotiation. Have your people call my people.
One of the most popular Burnsland posts ever is Are There Palm Trees in Mexico?. And I am a firm believer in the fact that you cannot go wrong with palm trees. So while there is nothing especially special about this photo, I still wanted to share it with you for your enjoyment, because it brings me joy. And since joy is supposed to be contagious, I am hoping that some of mine rubs off on you.
Yes, I previously shared a photo of Palm Trees on a Beach in Panama, and those same palm trees also appeared in Getting to a Beach in Panama. These trees are not the same trees, but they are nearby those other trees, in case you were wondering.
Also, one detail that I like in this photo are the two birds sitting on a branch in the lower center part of the photo. They may not be vultures, but they do look like it. And they bring back memories of Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World for me. “So, you’re looking for a laughing place?” “We’ll show you a laughing place!” Good memories, just like our time in Panama.

Finding Joy
It is a good thing to be able to find joy in things. I find joy in palm trees. And in making website posts. And some other things. You may find joy in completely different things, but I hope you find joy in something. If not, keep looking.
Of course, joy is different from happiness. Happiness depends on what is happening to you, hence the name happiness. Don’t you love it when things make sense like that?
Joy, however, is usually a choice. You can find joy even if what is happening to you is not making you happy. Sometimes the biggest blessing is being able to find that joy despite being happy. Those are the people who really know what contentment means.
Find people that bring you joy. Find things that bring you joy. And spread that joy to others, too. It is a good kind of contagion.
Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. - James 1:2-4 CSB

About the Photo
Sometimes, I know what photo I want to post, and I go looking for it. Other times, I just pick a random trip and look through photos to see what catches my eye. This photo is definitely in that second category. No real story to go along with it, besides what was in the earlier post. Nothing extraordinarily spectacular about the photo. Just a fun photo that I wanted to share, loving palm trees as I do.
