Caso Viejo

Walking along a street in the Casco Viejo area of Panama City, Panama, during our 2024 Panama Trip. At the end of our week in Panama, our group took a day to see some of the sights. After visiting the Panama Canal and Panama Viejo, we went to the area known as Casco Viejo. While Panama Viejo was the first Panama City, Casco Viejo was the second. Its name means “Old Town”, by the way.

The ornate altarpiece of the Metropolitan Cathedral in Panama City, Panama, which we visited during our 2024 Panama trip. Although this is not the type of church we attend, we stopped in to have a look around, and it was beautiful to see. The full name of the building is the Metropolitan Archcathedral Basilica of Santa María la Antigua, or Catedral Basílica Santa María la Antigua de Panamá in Spanish.
