Spring Creek at Sellers Farm State Archaeological Area

Spring Creek flows past Sellers Farm State Archaeological Area in Lebanon, Tennessee.
As you may recall from the earlier Sellers Farm post, I had gone there to see the native mound, but the path along Spring Creek turned out to be the bigger attraction to me. And it was a very photogenic creek, too.
Sometimes, I enjoy a good black and white photo, and I thought that one of these creek photos would be a good candidate for that. This photo is similar to one in that earlier post, but this one is a slightly different view, as I had zoomed out for a wider angle. Why take one photo when you can take lots? That is my photographic motto.
Colorful Blessings
While I do enjoy a good black and white photo for its artistic merits, overall I am still very much in love with color. As you might notice, most of the photos I share have very vibrant colors, and I very much enjoy the colorful look. Black and white photos are a novelty every now and then, but they do not reflect how I see the world.
When I look at things, I see a world full of color. Those colors change with the seasons, and many of winter’s colors are shades of brown, but even then there are evergreen trees and often a blue sky overhead.
I am very thankful to live in a world of color photography1, because it can capture what I see in nature, as well as in manmade things.
A colorful world is a blessing.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 1:3 ESV

About the Photo
I mentioned in the previous Sellers Farm post the challenges of dealing with the files that I had from my phone camera. Fortunately, having dealt with that before made this time around a little easier, because I knew what to expect. But once again, I am reminded to take my camera with me most anywhere we go in the future.

And color television and movies, too, but that is a different subject. ↩︎
