A Chair Conversation at Castaway Cay
Two groups of chairs appear to be having conversations in the water at Serenity Bay Beach on the island of Castaway Cay during our 2022 Disney Cruise.
I do wonder what these chairs are talking about, don’t you? The three chairs farther out into the water seem to be talking about the two chairs at the water’s edge, while those two chairs seem to be oblivious to the other three.
The two closer chairs are probably saying something like, “Yes, it certainly is a beautiful day here. How long is it until lunch time? One more small wave and I am about to have a sandy bottom. I hope that red shorts guy doesn’t come sit in me. I could stay here all day, except maybe at high tide. Is it lunch time yet?”
Meanwhile, the other three chairs are saying, “Look at those two - they think they are God’s gift to chairdom. Just trying to act like they are all cool so that we will notice them. You didn’t hear it from me, but I think that one chair has been to the webbing club for chairs, if you know what I mean. But I do think the other one is kind of cute.”
Yes, I am pretty sure that is what they are thinking. But I could be wrong.
Another View
I thought it would be fun to process the photo I took right after the one above in the same way, so here are the results:
Actually, what happened is that once I processed this one with the original settings I used for the first photo, I liked this one better. So then I went back and tried to adjust the first photo to be more like this one. They still do not quite match exactly, but that is okay. I liked this one enough to include it in this post, too.
Two photos for the price of one! Your bargain for the day. Better than a K-Mart Blue Light Special! Just don’t try to return them to get twice your money back.
It’s Not Always About You
Isn’t it sad that the 3-chair group thought that the two other chairs were talking about them, but the two chairs were just enjoying the day? I have seen that happen often in life. We think others are talking about us, caring what we do, or are just out to get us. Meanwhile, those others haven’t even given us a second thought. Or maybe not even a first thought. They are just out there living their lives.
There are times when it is important to be concerned about what others think about you, but then there are lots of times where it does not matter at all. What God thinks about you matters much more. Make sure that you are on his side, and you will be just fine.
Do not let your life be governed by what others might say about you, because there is a good chance that they are not saying it at all.
The fear of people becomes a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord will be set on high. - Proverbs 29:25
About the Photos
Isn’t it interesting how one photo preset can look completely different on two photos? Even two photos that were taken less than a minute apart? It all has to do with the color and contrast of the photo. The chair photo had lots more blue and green tones in it, while the beach photo was full of sand.
You can’t always make two photos look the same, so don’t even try. Lesson learned.
